We are a local food bank and food pantry serving Cumberland County, Virginia. Partnering with various grocery stores, local businesses, and FeedMore Inc., our goal is to eliminate food insecurity throughout the county and promote the local economy.
Food justice is an important part of how we serve the local community. We take donations form local businesses and use them to fight hunger within our community. The Cumberland PATH is a great program to promote healthy living among Cumberland County's youth. Check out our Cumberland PATH section or find more information about the program here.
Consider volunteering with us for an unforgettable experience and opportunity to connect with the community! We have received volunteer support from various local organizations, including Cumberland County Sheriff's Department, Bear Creek Academy, Cumberland County High School JROTC, Cumberland County High School, local Churches, Woodmen of the World, the Commonwealth Attorney's Office, and Cumberland County Social Service.
We hold various food distributions throughout the month to serve our local community. When our organization began in 2014, we served around 79 families, which since have multiplied into over 250 families. Check out our other tabs for more information on when our events take place.
We invite all members of the community to take part in our activities. Various examples of community involvement include multiple local speakers, including Central Virginia Legal Society, the Senior Resources Center, the Virginia Extension Services/Agents, and Woodmen of the World. Other examples include festivals, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships with Cumberland High School.
We love our clients and volunteers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
